Laboratory Instruments / Logos Biosystems Automated Cell Counter
Laboratory Instruments
When using tissue-derived cells such as stem cells or the cells from the adipose stromal vascular fraction (SVF), knowing cell concentration and viability is crucial to ensure and control the quality of downstream procedures. Tissue-derived samples are often contaminated with red blood cells and noncellular debris, making cell counting a time-consuming, subjective, and error-prone process. The LUNA-STEM™ is equipped with dual fluorescence and brightfield optics to distinguish live and dead nucleated cells from non-nucleated cells. Samples are stained with nucleic acid dyes to determine the concentration and viability of mononucleated cells. Non-nucleated cells are distinguished from debris and also counted. In as little as 30 seconds, the LUNA-STEM™ reports total cell concentration, nucleated cell concentration, non-nucleated cell concentration, cell viability, and average cell size. A high-resolution image with live cells labeled with green circles and dead cells with red circles can be viewed to confirm data visually.
REPORTS
PDF reports complete with images and data are automatically generated and can be transferred to a PC or printed for your records.
WHAT THE LUNA-STEM™ DOES BEST
Nucleic stains make sure that nucleated cells are counted as live or dead cells whereas nonnucleated cells are counted as non-nucleated cells.
30 SECONDS FASTER
In as little as 30 seconds, the LOGOS LUNA-STEM™ captures, merges, and analyzes images from three channels to produce cell count and viability data.
CANNOT BE WRONG
Using dual fluorescence and brightfield optics, the LUNA-STEM™ can distinguish between cells and debris.
