Screw caps capping and de-capping is a time consuming manual operation that easily constitutes a bottleneck in the workflow.
In addition to an important reduction in processing time, each de-capper is designed to ensure the correct level of cap twist at all times. Any risk of material loss through spillage or evaporation is thus avoided by achieving a standardized process.
Another advantage is the significant reduction in the risk of operator contamination and cross contamination between samples due to mishandling of the caps.
