The new coronavirus antigen test kit is a lateral flow chromatographic test using a double staining system for the qualitative detection of SARS-COV-2 (nucleocapside-N protein) antigen in the respiratory tract.
The test contains a conjugated gold colloidal swab and a membranous strip pre-coated with antibodies specific for SARS-CoV-2 antigen on the test lines).
The kit consists of 20 tests and each kit is equipped with 20 swabs, 20 lysis tubes, 20 extraction buffer bottles, 20 droppers 20 readers (cards) and a cardboard rack with 15 positions.
The new rapid test for COVID19 antigen is 35% more sensitive than traditional kits for the detection of IgG/IgM immunoglobulins, it does not require instrumentation and the swab is very delicate during the test on the patient, in fact just insert it in the nostrils for only 2, 5 cm deep and the results will be ready in about 15 minutes, making it a valuable tool for mass screening in different contexts such as schools, airports, ports and in all those contexts where tracking and control are essential to prevent the virus from spreading further within national borders.
